A little about me...
I am an Economics student at Duke University with a passion for innovation and sustainability. I am determined to be a catalyst for social and environmental chain in consumer production systems. My investigation into these interests took off two years ago as an engineering student in Duke's Army ROTC program. I felt trapped by the inflexibility of my future, craving something more creative. I withdrew from Duke that fall to discover who I was and what I wanted from life. Between nature and nurture, I know I am passionate about the environment and creativity. I went into my second freshman year unaware of how to combine these interests. With time and exploration, I discovered unsustainable practices in the fashion and luxury industries and the opportunity to bring my earth and climate science passions to them. Through Duke's communities and opportunities across the world, I have woven together a series of diverse academic and professional disciplines to create a tapestry of sustainable business studies in the textile and luxury industries.
